Wondering what is Kente?
means basket comes from Ashanti dialect.
but a lot we know Kente is a brightly colored cloth consisting of separate strips sewn together usually made in Ghana.
The design of kente cloth features many geometric patterns, and each pattern has a specific meaning, relating to the history or beliefs of the Ashanti people. Before becoming a master weaver, a person must learn the meanings of all of the patterns and how to create them.
Some of the meanings of kente patterns are described below:
